Raheem wanted to punch Cole in his mouth so bad but he knew his friend was actually trying to help. “Are you sure Nacobi agreed to marry you, Cole or did you force her?”

Cole looked genuinely offended. “She loves me! The fuck?!”

Anthony chuckled before taking a sip of his bear. Their second meeting just so happened to take place at Cole’s opposed to their usual bar spot. Cole came out of his kitchen with three beers in his hand, headed to his friends. He sat down on the couch before handing the beers to them.

“Red Lobster is not the move, Cole.” Anthony smiled at Raheem who was still frowning. “But how did it go, though?”

Raheem’s smile wobbled across his face. “I had her eating out of the palm of my hand,” Raheem exclaimed. “I was all in the store spitting game out of this world. She couldn’t resist me if she tried. Could not resist!”

“Oh look, Ashura,” Nacobi stated as they walked into the room. “Issa Nerd Convention.”

Ashura chuckled as she pulled AJ’s coat off as he ran behind Paisley. “Wait wait, Pai!”

Paisley continued to run away with AJ tailing her. “Ain't!”

Cole was out of his seat in seconds trying to get to his wife. “Hey Baby!”

Nacobi smiled at him as he wrapped her in his arms and effortlessly lifted her off her feet. “Cole, put me down.”

“You’ve been gone from me all day!”

Raheem rolled his eyes. “She legit just left two hours ago.”

“Hasn’t even been two hours,” Anthony added as he eyed Ashura. “Trust me, I counted them shits.”

Raheem shook his head at how lovesick his friends were then immediately smiled, remembering that he was just as much in love. As they went on to entertain their wives, Raheem propped his feet out in front of him and went to text Eryanna.

Good Evening, Beautiful- RJ

Raheem sat back, waiting on a text to come through from her and hoping that she didn’t take forever to do so. He smiled when he saw her response come through.

Are you always so charming? - My Light

Chuckling, Raheem composed his text. I try to be. - RJ

What are you doing? –RJ

*deep sigh* Preparing to go pick up my parents from the airport. *crying emoji*

Raheem’s jaw clenched. From where he stood, he wouldn’t have an opportunity to meet her parents this go around because of the things that he did to her when they were in the confines of the Valley. He knew that wasn’t all of it, but it was most of it which was enough to make him feel like a horrible boyfriend. He didn’t want to dwell on the things that were tugging at them, he knew that one day he would be able to introduce himself to her parents, he wouldn’t rush it.
